Thigh Lift Southlake

Why Should I Consider a Thigh Lift?

With age or significant weight loss, our skin begins to lose its ability to snap back into place. As a result, it starts to sag. One place that this is especially noticeable is the inside of the thighs. In addition to the unattractive appearance in the mirror, this sagging of the skin can cause people to feel extremely uncomfortable wearing bathing suits, shorts, skirts, and shorter dresses. This creates a real problem in the sun and heat of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Fortunately, sagging skin on the thigh can be removed via a thigh lift. Dr. Obaid and Dr. Ver Halen specialize in this procedure, and they will be happy to answer all of your questions in the comfort and privacy of their Southlake or Plano office.

I Don’t Want Anyone to Know I Had a Thigh Lift Done. Will the Scars be Visible?

Dr. Obaid and Dr. Ver Halen perform thigh lifts through an incision that is made in a patient’s groin crease. This hides the scar extremely well. It will never be visible when a patient wears clothing and will only be seen in a very revealing bathing suit.

What Will the Recovery Process Be Like?

Dr. Obaid or Dr. Ver Halen will perform your procedure at their surgery center in Southlake. The night after surgery, many people are a little sore in the thighs, making it difficult to get around. For this reason, your surgeon will keep you overnight, so a nurse can help you with all you need.

By the next morning, most patients are able to get up and around well and are able to go home. You will be able to shower the day after your surgery.

Your surgeon will see you back in his office one week after your surgery. At that time, he will remove two small drains. The stitches he uses will all dissolve, and there will be no difficult or painful bandages to change. At that time, you will already see the difference and be feeling great. Dr. Obaid and Dr. Ver Halen recommend that you take it easy for the first two weeks after your surgery. You should be able to resume full, normal activities within two weeks.

I Had Gastric Bypass and Have Lost a Lot of Weight. Now the Skin on My Thighs Sags. Is There Anything That Can Be Done?

Sagging skin both on the inner and outer thighs is one of the most common complaints after weight loss surgery. It can be demoralizing to have had the surgery and successfully shed the weight only to find out that there is now unattractive sagging skin left behind on the thighs. This sagging skin forces many people to cover up their new, slimmer figures. Fortunately, it can be corrected. With a weight loss thigh lift, Dr. Obaid or Dr. Ver Halen can remove the extra skin from the thighs, resulting in a more attractive contour that will give you the ability and confidence to wear clothes that show off your new body!
