If you are considering breast implants, there are things you should know. First, there are two types of implants: saline and silicone. Second, the cost will depend on your location, placement method, and the doctor you choose. Expect a cost of anywhere from 5000 to 10000 dollars. Since implants are typically considered an elective cosmetic procedure, it’s unlikely to be covered by your insurance. The FDA requires women to be at least 18 for saline implants, and 22 for silicone. As with any surgery, make sure your doctor is experienced and reputable; and beware complications like scarring, pain, bleeding, and infection.
