Dr. Jeremy Bosworth

Dr. Bosworth’s Educational Journey

He obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. Initially planning a career in the FBI or to attend law school, he is one of the rare people who has taken both the law school and medical school  entrance exams. He eventually decided to follow the path to medical school where he attended St. George’s University School of Medicine. During his time there he served on the Student Government Association as the Vice President and was also nominated for the White Coat Award of Professionalism.

After medical school he completed a full General Surgery training at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, NY and as Chief Resident he was honored with the Resident Teacher of the Year Award. It was throughout these years where he worked closely with the Plastic Surgeons and developed a true love for the field. His passion was rooted in the complexity and broadness of the challenges, the ability to use a unique set of skills and creativeness, helping people regain form and function, and being able to take the journey with his patients trying to achieve their own unique goals for themselves.

He then attended and completed his training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), learning from world renowned surgeons in all areas of Plastic Surgery. Here he was able to obtain an incredible clinical and academic experience forming the base for the plastic surgeon he is today. In addition to the very high case volume and the extremely broad and complex patient population he served, he was also able to publish on a variety of topics, including articles and book chapters on aesthetic surgery, revision breast surgery, autologous fat grafting, and more.  During his time at UAB, he was lucky enough to be invited on a medical mission trip to Honduras where he was able to use his skills to help the underserved population there. In his final year he served as the administrative Chief Resident.

Dr. Bosworth feels that his patients deserve for their surgeon to have the very best training and expertise which is why after completing all of that training and becoming a fully trained plastic surgeon, he decided to pursue extra fellowship training in aesthetic surgery. Doing the aesthetic society endorsed fellowship allowed him to focus specifically on this very detailed and complex sub-specialty and further hone his skills and experience.
