How to Exercise Away Pesky Armpit Fat

As we approach the summer months, when we begin to expose our arms in bikinis and tank tops, everyone wants to get in shape to look their best. While it is difficult to spot-reduce fat, you can add a few exercises to your routine that will make a difference in the way you look and feel about yourself. Each workout aims to tighten the muscle groups in and around your armpits to help reduce armpit fat.

While everyone comes in different shapes and body types, if you have a little pocket of fat in your armpit area, it can hold you back from wearing those cute bikinis and crop-tops this summer.

One way to battle armpit fat is to do some lying chest flies. All you have to do is lie on your back on a yoga mat with your hips and knees bent at a 90-degree angle. Press your lower back onto the mat, raise your arms toward the ceiling while holding some three- to five-pound dumbbells, and raise your arms with your palms facing up. Do a few sets of 8 to 10 reps.

Always make sure you aren’t using more weight than you can handle, but don’t use weight that is too light either.
