Jacob Carlson, M.D.

Dr. Carlson grew up in Arkansas where he attended Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys. After graduating as the valedictorian of his class, he enrolled in the Medical Scholars Program at Saint Louis University. He graduated summa cum laude with a major in Biology.

Dr. Carlson graduated medical school from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He then completed a five-year General Surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

He completed a three-year fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Florida, where he served as the chief resident during his final year of training. While at the University of Florida, he trained extensively in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, including microvascular surgery, operations to address hand and facial injuries, and craniofacial anomalies. Opting to further his training in aesthetic surgery, he is completing a one-year Aesthetic Surgery fellowship at North Texas Plastic Surgery.

During his training, he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has received several awards for his work in research and presentations at national conferences.

When he is not in the operating room, he enjoys running, attending sporting events, and watching stand-up comedy.
