Dr. Anderson’s Educational Journey

Dr. Anderson grew up in Kansas. He was awarded the top scholarship to attend Kansas State University where he studied Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Med. Dr. Anderson graduated with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) and a perfect 4.0 GPA. He then moved to Texas to attend the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in the Texas Medical Center – the largest medical center in the world.

Wanting to become the most well rounded surgeon possible, he then went on to complete a General Surgery residency in the Texas Medical Center. This training provided exposure to technically demanding and complex reconstructive plastic surgery at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the top nationally ranked cancer center, and Memorial Herman Texas Medical Center, the nation’s busiest trauma center.

Dr. Anderson was then selected to complete his intensive plastic surgery training at the rigorous University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He spent these years learning all aspects of plastic surgery from leaders in the field.

A highlight was the time spent at the world renowned St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital performing complex craniofacial reconstruction and facial nerve reanimation for pediatric cancer patients. These experiences of working with children from all over the world humbled and helped Dr. Anderson further appreciate the care and artistry of plastic surgery.

His final years of training were focused on the most up-to-date and advanced techniques of cosmetic surgery. During this time, he honed his skills for both surgical and non-surgical techniques, including injectables, and surgery of the face, breasts and body. He was consistently recognized for his superior surgical skills and technique. His talent was appreciated at such a high level that he personally performed procedures on several of his mentors.

Life Beyond the Office

While his goal is taking the time to have happy and confident patients, Dr. Anderson is family focused outside the office. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Danielle, exploring the restaurants of Dallas/ Ft Worth, spending the weekends at the lake, and traveling when possible. Especially Mexico.

Dr. Anderson is proud to become a member of the North Texas Plastic Surgery team. If you are looking for an experienced plastic surgeon in Dallas or a surrounding area of Texas, please call (972) 608-3130 to schedule a consultation today.
