Traditional liposuction involves our plastic surgeon removing fat by hand with a cannula (a small vacuum) over several hours. This can be a tedious process. FAGA power-assisted liposuction speeds up the process by electrically powering the liposuction cannula back and forth—potentially thousands of times per minute! Power-assisted liposuction lets the technology do all the work, allowing our surgeons to focus on creating your perfect contour.
VASER: Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction
VASER uses the power of ultrasound technology to augment traditional liposuction. By passing harmless sound waves through your body, the VASER machine shakes the fat free from the surrounding tissue, pulling it out with far less bleeding and bruising than traditional liposuction. This technique allows us to safely extract a much higher volume of fat, resulting in a much better contour. Furthermore, VASER ultrasound-assisted technology liquefies the fat it removes, allowing the fat to pass out more evenly and producing a smoother result. Through this process, the VASER can collect a much higher volume of fat from your body than traditional liposuction.
