How can I look better in my jeans? The Buttocks Lift

Most plastic surgeons spend hours and hours focusing on making breasts bigger, but many completely ignore a critical component of the female silhouette, the buttocks.  Dr. Obaid, however, specializes in sculpting the buttocks of women in Dallas and Fort Worth.  The reality is skinny jeans are in and breast augmentation will do little to make you rock those skinny jeans.  On the other hand, a buttocks lift and augmentation can completely change how your jeans fit!

How can my butt be lifted?

Dr. Obaid uses liposuction to remove fat from your love handles, waist, back, and thighs.  Through a special process he then transfers the fat to your buttocks to lift it and sculpt it.  This combination gives the buttocks more volume and a better shape while at the same time slimming down the areas around it.  The combination of the two causes an amazing change in contour.  Dr. Obaid’s sculpting of the buttocks has helped many women in Dallas and Fort Worth feel confident about their butts again!

Do I need implants?

In most patients, absolutely not!  During your one on one consultation in his Southlake or Plano offices, Dr. Obaid will examine your whole body and together you will identify problem areas of fat in other parts of your body which Dr. Obaid will then remove through a special liposuction modification.  The fat that is removed is then transferred by Dr. Obaid to your buttocks where it is used to give it a fuller and rounder shape.

What is the recovery process?

Depending upon how much is transferred with the butt lift, the procedure can be done either as an outpatient or with an overnight stay in a boutique hospital in Southlake, Plano, Dallas, or Fort Worth.  Most patients remain on pain medicine for approximately 5 days post-operatively.  They are usually able to return to work within a week and to return to the gym for cardiovascular workouts at three weeks.  Weight training and yoga are usually resumed at six weeks post-operatively.

What if I do not have enough fat to fill my buttocks?

During your butt lift consultation with Dr. Obaid in Southlake or Plano, he will examine your entire body to find tiny imperfections or pockets of fat that can be used to transfer to the buttocks.  If you are lucky enough to have very little extra fat, Dr. Obaid will discuss buttocks augmentation with implants with you.

What about the scars?

The incisions that are made to harvest the fat and then to inject it are just a few millimeters in size.  As a result, once the wounds are completely healed it is almost impossible to tell a woman has had gluteal augmentation.

How long will the results last?

The beauty of using your own fat to augment the buttocks is that, unlike with implants, the fat is good for life.  Once a grafted piece of fat has “taken”, it never needs to be removed or altered or changed out.  It is you, just shapelier!  It does, however, take a few months for the fat to fully take and for the final result to be seen.  But once it has taken, what you see is what you get!

Is the procedure common?

While breast augmentation has historically gotten more publicity than butt augmentation and butt lifts, the procedure is becoming one of the fastest growing procedures in plastic surgery.  This is in no small part thanks to the popularity of stars such as Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, and Melyssa Ford.  The butt is the new “it” thing!  If you want to look as great walking away as you do walking up, give us a call at 877-537-7220, or fill out the contact form on the page.
