7 Reasons Your Boobs Hurt

By Sacha Obaid

Soreness in your breasts may come from one of several aspects in your life. Soreness may be the result of a hard workout; that’s related to the muscles under your breasts. Soreness due to excessive workouts or physical activity, such as moving furniture, is due to a strain on the pectoral muscles under your breast tissue. You can easily treat this with over-the-counter pain relievers. You may have a bra that doesn’t fit properly, which could be causing soreness in your breasts. One of the most common reasons for soreness, however, is hormonal changes related to your monthly menstrual cycle. This is called cyclic pain; it goes away when your cycle is over. If you have larger breasts, you need to get a properly fitted bra to avoid them bouncing and pulling breast tissue, which will cause soreness. This is a common problem for marathon runners. Finally, if you have lumpy breast tissue that is uneven, it may lead to changes in your hormones that can cause soreness. For more reasons and further details on why your breasts might hurt, read on.
