April 18, 2025The ATRAS robot scans each hair follicle that is to be transplanted 60 times per second so that it can accurately guide the extraction to ensure the safety of the follicle that is being removed. This is critical because this 60 times per second is many many more times per second than the human eye can scan an area. As a result, the artist robot will remove each hair follicle that it is going to transplant more accurately than the human eye and hand. As a result, there will be fewer damaged hair follicles during the procedure and the patient will get a much better result with better graft survival.
