Facial Rejuvenation in Time for the Holidays

Authored by:

The holidays are a time for gift-giving, charitable donations, and time spent with loved ones we may not see that often. This is also the time of year that families and friends take lots of photos to remember the season. If you struggle with skin concerns such as acne, fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration, and volume loss, you may shy away from social gatherings or hide behind others in group photos. There are many minimally invasive medical spa treatments that offer facial rejuvenation with little to no downtime and fast results so that you can address your cosmetic issues before the holidays.

At North Texas Plastic Surgery, our med spa provides a variety of options to reduce wrinkles, restore volume, and achieve facial rejuvenation, including:

Smoothen Dynamic Wrinkles with Injectables

Dynamic wrinkles are caused by repetitive muscle movements such as squinting, frowning, and smiling. Horizontal forehead lines, vertical lines between the brows (known as 11s), and crow’s feet develop because of long-term muscle motion. Neuromodulator injectables, including BOTOX® CosmeticXeomin®, and Dysport®, target the muscles that lead to wrinkle formation and temporarily immobilize them, which softens dynamic wrinkles quickly. These treatments don’t require a recovery period, and results can be seen in three to 12 days.

Restore Lost Volume and “Fill In” Wrinkles with Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are another type of injectable treatment. These often contain hyaluronic acid, a compound found naturally in your body that binds to moisture and restores a youthful volume and appearance to the face. Some dermal fillers offer immediate results, while others can take several weeks to show full results. We offer multiple dermal fillers designed to address facial lines and wrinkles and volume loss, such as:

Facial Rejuvenation with Chemical Peels, Microneedling or Laser Treatments

Chemical peels can address several facial concerns from fine lines and wrinkles to sun damage and acne scarring. There are varying degrees of chemical peels, which apply acids to the skin that exfoliate dead skin cells and promote the creation of new ones. Some chemical peels require no downtime, while others may limit your activities for several days. Multiple treatments may be necessary to reach your aesthetic goals, but some patients may see a noticeable, rejuvenated appearance within a few days.

Microneedling is a more intensive treatment, and North Texas Plastic Surgery offers this minimally-invasive treatment with or without Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP). The procedure involves making tiny punctures or injuries to the treated area to promote your skin’s natural healing abilities. That includes collagen and elastin, two proteins found in the skin that decrease as you age. Microneedling recovery is minimal, and results can be seen within two to four days and improve up to six months.

Laser treatments are another facial rejuvenation option, which can target enlarged pores, discoloration, sun damage, and acne scars, as well as spider veins and stretch marks.

Our medical spa offers many other minimally invasive treatments and non-surgical procedures for more than facial rejuvenation, including CoolSculpting® for body contouring and PRP for Hair Growth.
