It can be hard to talk about something as personal as your cellulite. You can take comfort in knowing that cellulite is a natural part of a woman’s biology and you're not alone in your struggles. In fact, approximately 9 out of 10 women have cellulite, and no matter how much you work out, eat healthy, or use lotions, cellulite has always been one of the most difficult problem areas to correct.
The only method of actually treating cellulite was to target the source by surgical methods—until now. Finally, there is a simple, quick, and completely non-invasive solution available: QWO. Never before has there been an FDA-approved treatment for cellulite that actually targets it at the cellular level. This is a true game changer!
Under Dr. Sacha Obaid’s medical oversight, our nurse injectors have received hands-on training in the proper administration of QWO. North Texas Plastic Surgery is an exclusive provider as one of the first practices in the DFW area to offer QWO cellulite treatment.
What Is QWO?
QWO is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment clinically proven to reduce moderate to severe cellulite of adult women. View this informational video to learn more about what cellulite is, what QWO is, and how it works.
What Can I Expect from My QWO Treatment?
Your aesthetic specialist will work with you to determine a specialized treatment plan, including defining cellulite areas and total number of treatments. QWO cellulite injections will be given 3 weeks or 21 days apart for a total of 3 treatment visits.
During each visit, we first cleanse the area, and then your aesthetic specialist makes a series of QWO injections directly into targeted cellulite dimples, using a small needle. QWO then begins to work in three ways:
- Releasing fibrous bands
- Redistributing fat cells
- Stimulating the growth of new collagen
Treatments are given at the med spa offices of North Texas Plastic Surgery in Southlake, Dallas, or Plano, and injections take as little as 10 minutes. You can be in and out all within your lunch break or while running errands!
What Happens After My Treatment?
QWO is a quick, non-surgical cellulite injectable treatment with no downtime. Most patients return to work and social activities right after treatment, and their normal exercise routines can go on uninterrupted.
As is true of other injectable treatments, you may experience some injection site bruising, pain, areas of hardness, itching, redness, discoloration, swelling, and warmth in the treatment area.
How Do I Know QWO Is Right for Me?
How women surveyed really feel about cellulite: Nearly half of women say they are bothered “a great deal” or “ a lot” (49%) by their cellulite. Women say cellulite makes them feel: self-conscious (64%), unhealthy (44%), and frustrated (42%). You are not alone! If cellulite has been a problem area for you as well, then it’s time to regain your confidence by contacting North Texas Plastic Surgery to see if QWO may be right for you. Think about your goals beforehand and have them ready at your consultation. Describe how you feel about your cellulite, and why you want to try a different treatment.
You should not receive QWO if you are allergic to any collagenase or the ingredients in QWO, or have an active infection in the treatment area.
